Im trying to render a lightsaber in after effects 6.5 proffesional. I've used this tutorial - http://theforce.net/fanfilms/postpro...rtutorials.asp , and its worked good, up until the point where I have to add colour to the blade. The blade is all white, with feathered edges. I try Effect-Adjust-Colour Balance, just as it says in the tutorial. Then i click preserve luminosity, and adjust the colours in midtones and highlights. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work. The blade always stays white. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

It’s been about a month since I tried this, but I remember something about needing a black solid under your four light saber layers in order for the glow to show through. Do you have this layer, and is it turned on?
