Default Animation software

hi

Can anyone tell me a good software for video animation (like Toy Story, but not that advanced). Can after effects do that sort of thing?

Cheers

After Effects is a piece of compositing s/w and not suitabel for Toy Story type 3D graphics.

You want something more like Maya. Check out the options at http://www.alias.com/glb/eng/product...milyId=3900009

it's not cheap though and a hell of a learnign curve. Last coutn it was about 6 books to cover everything. At least they have a 'learning edition' that does everything but puts watermark in the final render as far as I can remember. I don't think it's 'save disabled' check though.

Its not save disabled, but the watermark is all over it. the only thing i'm having trouble with now is the transfer to avi, which is says it supports. I'm assuming that it has been capped aswell. it costs $5500, not bad...............

I'll have a look. But I think that the Maya is great so far. the only problem is the transfer to after effects to get it on a dvd.

Cheers

Blender is an excellent free 3D animation application. I've used it for a couple of years now.

Here's a good link:
