Default What is a Good Program ?

What is a good program to edit and encoded with ?
I have Ulead VideoStudio 5 and Pinnacle Studio version 8
I have encoded to a mpeg from a Dv format at 768x576 and I get lines going across the pic someone know what the problem is and when I burn a vcd it is very shity {very blocky}

Did you try de-interlacing the video? You may need to do this to ensure your video plays smoothly on a PC monitor.

What application(s) are you using to create the VCD? I tend to use TMPGenc for encoding and Nero for burning - granted VCD aren't the best of quality at the best of times (especialtly in scenes of high action), but they shouldn't be too blocky when played back on a TV screen.

Use vcdgear.It is freeware and cd be downloaded from http://www.vcdgear.com
