Default Good Program, anybody?

Hi all,

I'm new to video editing, and I'm searching for a good software (special effects, transitions, general editing, etc.)

The thing is, I used Ulead Video Editor 9. It looks really good, and has a lot to offer - but I have one problem with it - the quality decreases when I apply an effect/improvement. It gets more pixelated, and it is a bit slower, and this really bothers me. I thought Ulead is supposed to be above all that.. (i don't have a slow pc).

Can anyone recommend a good program for editing like Ulead's Video Editor, but where the original quality STAYS?

Thanks a lot

Er, this should be all of them!

I've not used Ulead products but my guess is that after applying an effect you may have fogotten to render the effect out which is why the quality is reduced. This is what I get using Adobe Premiere Pro. Maybe Ulead is the same.

Just guessing.

I'm a fan of Adobe s/w and would happily recommend it. However, I suspect you'll will be better off solving your problem with the Ulead s/w rather than spend more money.

Default Thanks

You're right. The option choosed was previewing quickly, instead of high-quality. Thanks

You're welcome. I'm glad it proved to be a simple setting change.
