Final Cut Problems... wha cha doing!

Hey,

Well, i am formally a Abobe user and have made the switch from Premier to Final Cut Express. Anways, what i would like to know is, how i can put a effect in a sequence and have that effect change while the same clip is playing. EX: Have the clip start out really blury then become clear.

I hope i explained myself well enough, if i didn't just say so.
