Default Blank DVD not recognised

Have just installed a new DVD burner which works perfectly with every programme except Magix Edit Pro. Whilst this programme recognises the DVD, it does not recognise any free space. Any help would be gratefully received.

can u not export as a dvd folder then burn that to a disc with other software, thats what i do wiv ulead.
