help, '..has encounterd a problem and needs to close...'

hi, my pc: AMD 200.+ 1.66ghz,512 ram,160+60gb,gforce 6600,etc..
I ve tried perhaps most popular editing programs,but allways is the same ,,during the saving/rendering all the programs shuts down,and what i get is the same : ''..has encounterd a problem and needs to close...'i.ve have reinstaled everything what is possible,starting from winxp.,what is the problem?thanks

Well, if you get these problems with all/many editign quites then you have to start looking at the commonalities of the thing. Always during export? Then try exporting toa different codec and/or re-installing your codecs.

Other than that, this sounds very much like a new problem for this forums.

Could it be hardware?

If/when you do find an answer, do remember to post back your findings. They may well help someone else.
