Default Another question about divx/xvid

Good morning from Greece,

I am back again with another question about divx/xvid codecs.

Please, I wish to know if xvid codec is fully compatible with divx codec.

I ask this because my sony dvd player dvp-ns33 it seems that cannot play any xvid encode video file but only divx 3/4/5.

Unfortunately I have no operation manual for this player and also I havent found any related info through sony's official web page.

Please, can you help me ?

Regards,

Joan
