Default can vegas use hardware encoders?

-edit-
I'll try this ...
can vegas be setup to use the hardware encoder that is built into my canopus dvstorm2 card/package?

also I have found that when I capture in vegas, it doesn't give me the option to use the canopus driver. Is there any wya around this?
