I have a Sony TRV16E digital camcorder a couple of years old and have successfully made a couple of DVDs using digital footage. Now want to do the same with old footage on video 8. My old camcorder broke so I borrowed someones and tried recording it onto my digital camera but the one I have will not allow me to do this. I want to be able to get the images on my computer and not simply on CD as I definitely want to be able to edit them. I also have a dodgy video recorder/player which I shan't bother replacing now until I can afford a recordable DVD player, so don't want to go down that road. Has anyone got any ideas on the best software or hardware I need. Thanks in anticipation
