I purchase Video Factory last year as part of a software bundle from SF.
(now owned by Sony it appears)

Have just upgraded to XP which includes the Movie Maker software.

The bundled XP software looks quite good.
Does it export in Mpeg2 ready for creating DVDs ?
(I have Ulead DVD software for creating the finished thing)

Anything else Movie Maker doesn't do that I'd miss if I stuck Video Factory on Ebay ?

I just downloaded it last week. It is very similar to ARCSoft Showbiz. In some ways its better, and in some ways it isn't.

On WMM, you can make "Star Wars" text. There are many other really cool text functions too, such as putting a picture or video inside a spinning newspaper, and you can add your own Newspaper name and Headline.

Did you check out the "Shatter" transition....very cool.

One thing that I haven't figured out yet, maybe you can tell me, is adding a video from my harddrive into an album. It auto matically divides it into really random clips. I don't want it cut up. I wanted to add a 14 minute video and it was cut into 60 clips. I don't have the time to add all of them to the timeline individually.

I know that this has to be an clickable option, but I couldn't find it. Do you know?
