Default windows xp 64-bit

hello video gurus.
i need help again..
i have an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ system and i would just like to ask if i'd get some performance gains in case i decide to use the 64-bit edition of windows xp? i am currently using the 32-bit version with SP2 and i am quite tempted at migrating to the x64 ..
also, i know it is at its beta release at this time, can i do full blown video editing with it? i use premiere and videostudio..

thnx.

TBH, until people release 64bit versions of their programs, I can't see that there would be any increase in performance for using a 64bit OS over a 32bit one.

I certainly wouldn't use it in its current setup, thoguh we are building a few AMD64 systems in our workshop, which i'd like to experiment with WinXP64 before we ship them out

thnx mike.
i hope you can post the results of your experiments..i need the improvement because i think i am having problems running premiere on my system and i have heard premiere is not really optimized for AMD systems..i am thinking maybe an OS improvement might help.
