I recently did the videoing for the local hospital variety charity show, this years is for the childrens heart unit so there is no money in it to buy programs.

I need to convert PowerPoint ppt and pptx files to something editable in Premiere CS3, the only programs I've found put a watermark on the video.

I thought the easiest way might be to video them from my high definition LCD TV, any thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated.

You could try freez screen video capture.

It's freeware and can output your recording to AVI. You would need to run your ppt in real time on the screen and then save as avi for edit.

Thanks "Joanaf" I used the Freez Screen Video Capture recommended by "miwhel" and it worked fine it gives you a few options for capture and because I have ffdshow on my computer it allowed me to capture h264 which suited my project well and it also captured the audio.
