Default I've got this problem with Premiere Pro...

I've got a problem with editing on Premiere Pro and have yet to find anyone who can help me.
The sequence goes like this...
I capture the video from a DVD using a Pinnacle moviebox with Studio9.
The only option available is to save the clip as a mpeg.
I import the mpeg clip into a project in Premiere pro 1.5
It plays, with sound, in the preview monitor.
I put it on the timeline.
I play the timeline and there's no sound. The sound"track" on the timeline is flat with no squiggly line showing that there's sound there.

Default Editing mpeg with Premiere

Someone just recently posted about this - Premiere is not designed to edit mpeg 2, although some people get varying results by trying it. Supposed to be some third-party plugins that enable Premiere to edit them efficiently, but I've never done a search.

You've got Studio 9 - why not just use that? Pinnacle are reputed to have ironed out a lot of the bugs with earlier Studio versions.
