I guess all you have to do is convert the file to windows media video, open it with windows media editor, and then click on script commands and select URL and enter a url in the parameters box...

And then you will "Save and index"?

It's working when I play the file inside of media editor, but there aint a version of media player alive that will open the url at the set time..

I have to be doing something wrong :=(

I tried "move scripts to header" as well....

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Fred

Yer, I got exactly the same when I tried that (hence why I didn't post!). Works fine in the player, then when it;s actually encoded doesn't work - spent a while on it to be honest! You've gotta admit though that URL flipping is a tad annoying when u download a file though!

Yes I agree it is quite the annoyance... unless it's at the END of the movie :=)

One thing I noticed is that encoder has a "Script panel" but it's blanked out

Back in the days when I did this I can remember using some kind of windows media program and I would have to select a file from the desktop that I had premade and there was some sort of syntax to it... and as I remember you would go to "insert script", select the file, and then you'd press something else and it would process the file(encode and add the script)

Of course that was only useful for making the flip happen at the beginning of the movie unless you wanted to change the time for every file done

It's amazing how something so simple can be so difficult... no one on earth seems to know how to do this effeciently or- at all
:(

I have read a few guides now - but they only tell yopu to do what you7've already done. I also got the greyed out script box to work by switching my cam on and selecting file and device as the source format. You can then use this to input a URL during encoding... but it didn't work!!!

Looks as if I am going to have to pay someone to figure this out
But who would know more than YOU :
I doubt anyone knows more than a professional dv editor such as yourself though  :(

I learned that movies can do this once when I was downloading some movies from the internet..

Question

If I can find one which does it, and send it to you, can you then figure out how it was done :

(I notice it on alot of movies but most of those are adult in nature.... would that be ok to send you?)

I tried the clip you sent in WM9 ... and ... no URL flipping.

Conclusion? WM9 doesn't support it??? :
