Default Recording VHS tapes on mini-DV via camcorder?

Help! I have several VHS tapes that I'd like to get onto my computer. I know how to get video off the camcorder (mini-DV to computer) but I need to get VHS material to a mini-DV tape in order to get to the computer. How do I do this? My camcorder has s-video, firewire, etc but none of these plug into the VCR. The only thing that seems to plug into the VCR is the 3-way thing (yellow/white/red). Sorry for the butchering of terms, I am new to this. Thanks in advance!

your camera might not even have inputs.

if it does, you'll need a scart converter. these tend to have an svideo, composite phono and 2 audio phono sockets, and are usually switchable to input or output.

someone else was asking about these too.

plenty to choose from there.

this is what i'm talking about specifically, but you'll probably get better results with a decent premade cable like this:

it's a hell of a lot more expensive though.

there's this too:

hahaha

damn you marc for disabling editing.

that's me looking like a loony now. If anyone's wondering, the faceparty thing must've been in my copy+paste from last night hehe

I'd been talking to a friend about how there are some gorgeous people on sites like that, and i don't understand why they have to go on these places to find friends or whatever. he didn't believe me, and thought they must've been all mingers. that was supposed to be evidence of them not being mingers.

AS FAR AS I KNOW, "-soozywoozy-" will not be able to help with your video editing problems. Can't hurt to ask though.

that link should've been a link to the cable universe website.

cue the piss-taking.

nah, leave it in, it'll amuse somebody at least

it's my own fault, and it'll have been cached by google or the wayback machine or whatever by now anyway, knowing my luck
