By it's name I assume 'Serif DVD Plus' is a tool for authoring DVDs. Nero 6 is burning s/w. I wasn't aware it had any DVD authoring functionality So not sure if the two s/w packages mentioned actually equate. Or do they?
However, if 'Serif...' is simply DVD/CD burning s/w then I'd opt for Nero because it's what nearly everyone else uses and generally regarded as excellent.
Last comment I'll throw in. If you have a DVD burner then I would normally expect (unless you bought the OEM version) you to have received some burning s/w with it.

Nero 6 does include Nerovision, which is a DVD authoring program. I do have Nero 6 express, and that comes with nerovision express, but I don't know if, because you're getting a version of nero with more features, if you'd get a version of nerovision with more features. Worth finding out though.
If all you want to make are simple menus for DVDs and so on, then nerovision express will do the job.

Ray - you don't mean something like "this program is incompatible" or somethign like that do you? Because that's exactly what I got when I upgraded to SP2. Go to www.nero.com and download the updates for nero express 6, that will solve the problem.
