That's a heck of a question to ask when there are so many factors involved...

Depends what they want it for, I guess. Tell them to sign up for here so that they can see everyone's advice, and ask followup questions in "public".

Who is it anyway?

Tell him that as he's only got a 'little' tv company that he should really be using Window Movie Maker '1'

Nah, you simply cannot beat hand drawings on PostIT notes and flicking them 25 times a second in front of a camera (or 30 times a second if in the US, oh, and don't forget to change the colour of each PostIT note too).

When I used to run a ski web site I used to get emails asking me what ski length and type would be best for "my wife". No details of their wife like height, age, weight or experience - just "my wife". Always made me chuckle as I thought of the whole page on the web site dedicated to the subject while I hit the delete key.

Of course it's a joke! We all know it should really be 29.97 times a second.

Damn! I was just about to post about the PostIT's being in B&W only (as the 29.97 drop frame format came about because they didn't have enough bandwidth to include the colour signal - or so I believe) but then I realised I had mentioned that each PostIT would be a slightly different colour (therefore producing a true NTSC experience).

So, you are right you clever b*gger you

With coloured PostIt's (sepia) you can get an 'old film' effect.

Use green PostIt's for 'The Matrix', blue for 'Payback' etc etc etc
