Default AVS Editor - Quality is terrible..

Hi all.

I make YouTube videos, have been making them for many years. I bought AVS Video Editor couple of months back, and the quality is really bad. I watch my friends videos and they're so clear but mine is not very good.

Here is a video for the quality wise.

What should I save it as? here is a list of options I have..

ImageShack - Hosting :: savezi4.jpg

Once I click on one of them I have some more options for them, I'll take another screenshot of that.

Thank you so much.

I would suggets MPEG4 with a bitrate of around 800 to 1000 and a framesize to match the source would give you quality to match the presumed DV source.

Thanks a lot for that. You've really helped me.

Quality sure has jumped.

I use Mpeg4 aswell but my data rate is around 2,500 kb/s, as long as I get the file under 100MB, I'm happy. I do reduce the frame size from 720 x 576 down to 480 x 360 and then YouTube shrinks it again to around 425 x 344. This gives me the choice of either Normal Quality or the High Quality option under the video when it appears on YouTube.
