i'm new to this, so here's my situation... i have a Hitachi DZHS500A DVD-HDD CAMCORDER 30GB HYBRID, when i connect my camcorder to my pc it show up as a hardrive, i can transfer the "VOB" file to my main "C" drive, most of the software that i tried like Unlead VideoStudio 11 does not recognize VOB files, i must use a program like super C to convert it. do i have to live with this or do i have other options. whats the best program "if any" to convert the file "to edit and burn to a blank DVD" also the no software out there is able capture anything however as i stated b4 the vob file shows up and registers as a separate drive.

try a program called DVD2AVI do a search or rename the vob to MPEG as see f that works, Sony Vegas will take VOBS.

Try converting VOB to files that Unlead VideoStudio supports first.
U can try Xilisoft video converter.
