Default Clipping bottom and top of a video?

Hello, I cant seem to find software that will do this so does anyone here know? Im just trying to clip the bottom and top of a .avi, That mean removing the top and bottom of a video leaving the middle intact.

Can this be done? thanks

Yes it can. For a simple solution, try virtualdub.

Thanks for that, in the video filters I found "Fill" is that what you would use to do it? I was kinda just wanting the bottom cut off not to be black. I did try resize but the just seems to keep the whole picture, just makes it smaller

I think it can also be done within Premier pro, exporting it as a quicktime movie. If I recall correctly, it allows you to alter the frame sizes

Why do you want to remove the top and bottom from a video clip and leave the middle? Is there something on those two areas you wish to get rid of?
