Hi!

I have recently started to use my camcorder again but have lost/thrown the disc that came with the Sony Handycam..i have downloaded the USB Driver software from Sony but my computer which runs XP does not recognise the camcorder when i plug it in to a USB port..i only want to use Windows Movie maker at the moment.. as i am only copying what i've recorded straight onto a disc..can someone advise where i am going wrong..any advice will be much appreciated..

Sorry friend i can't help you, because i don't have any idea of that.

Is your Sony a Mini DV model or Mini DVD? If it's a Mini DV camcorder then use a Firewire cable instead to connect it to the computer, if it's a Mini DVD camcorder then you'll have to finalize the disc in the camcorder, take it out and put it into the DVD drive on your computer.
