Default Need help on which software to choose.

Hi everybody,

I'm very new to this forum and video editing. I've been looking for a video editing software that I can use casually for my own personal use. It dosen't have to be free but I'm not really interested in buying anything too expensive.

I have of course checked out the Wiki comparison link, but I'm still not sure which one would suit me best. I'm using this camcorder by the way: DCR-SR32E (DCRSR32E) : Camcorders : Sony : United Kingdom

I'm not really interested in making a DVD or anything like that, I just want to save my edited movies on my computer. Also I'm not afraid of having to use some time learning how to use the program.

I hope you can help me choose an editing software

Oh and if you need any more information, please just let me know.

Newbie video editor,

For the type of camcorder you have download a 30 day trial of Sony Vegas and see how you get on with it.

Thanks for your reply!

I followed your advice and I'm very happy about the program!

It's easy to use and it has the features that I wanted.

Thank you again for your quick reply!

Glad to hear you found an NLE you like, if you decide to stick with Sony Vegas, then be sure to post in the Sony Vegas and Media Studio section of the forum if you need more help with it.
