Exclamation I need Mass conversion Software

Ok im in a bit of an ordeal... I have a little over i'd say 200 clips in .MOD format and i need to convert them all seperatly to Anything Else... whatever the best Quality that Adobe Premiere accepts.
I have CyberLink PowerDirector and it converts them but i have to do them one by one... i need somthing i can just dump all the MOD clips into and have it convert each one automatically in any given format.
I dont know if there is such a think ive done a lot of research and i cant find anything. The PowerDirector is really buggy but i do like using for simple editing but it keeps freezing for unknown reasons, and when i try to reload my saved work it wont load the very file i just saved...

Please help

Oh im using a JVC Everio GZ-MG155 Hard Drive Camcorder, and i really wish it recorded in a more acceptable format...

Thanks

This page says that a .MOD is just an MPEG2 file and that it can be renamed to .AVI
If this is the case, that may sort the issue with premiere...
Failing that, Virtualdub will do what you want.
You may need virtualdub mpeg2 rather than normal virtualdub.

Once in vdub, import one video and set the settings you need (Video->compression to choose codec) and then select File->Job Control, and within that window Edit->Process directory, then point it to the dir with your MODs in.

UMPC - Indeed!!

As for the question - you have answered it yourself - we rarely reccomend hd camcorders at the consumer level for this very reaosn. The video is hard to edit and more compressed than tape formats.

The best soloution to your problem is to get tape camera.
