Default MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 Please HELPPPP

Hi all i'm new on here I was just looking for some advice but I'm not sure if I have posted in the correct section? Anyway, I have just purchased a bullet cam and a PVR100 to record onto with a 16gb memory card. Now i'm unsure as to weather or not I have purchased the correct PVR for my needs. I am wanting a system to record at the best quality possible and the device I have got (PVR100) only records in MPEG-2 and I'm not sure if that records the best quality or if MPEG-4 records the best? I dont mind about how much file space the MPEG-2 takes up I am just wanting the best quality as I will be connecting up to a 42" TV and need it to be clear. Thanks in advance

Regards James Ashton

Default

MPEG 2 - gives high quality but does the big files

mpeg 4 also gives high quality but file size is less, than for mpeg-2

also mpeg-2 support all dvd players and PC, but MPeg-4 can be not supported... (required codec, for example)

You can create MPeg2 and later convert to MP-4, if need. For convert can use special converting software, for example, i'm useing VideoChrage.

Regards
