Default Split Screen Playback

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and to video production.
I only have a point and shoot digital camera with a movie facility at the moment.
I can appreciate this question may have come up before but having read through some of the previous threads without finding the answers to my questions I thought I'd better ask here.

Can anyone tell me how I can run 2 sequences (scenes, shots etc, sorry I'm not familiar with the terminology yet) side by side on my desktop and then drop them onto a cd/dvd? At the moment I have no software other than Canon which came with the camera and Windows XP Home.

Thanks in anticipation,

Papaone

If i got you right all you have to do is create 2 timelines and drop each video in each timeline and then rezise it and move it in order to slip the screen in two .

You will need to download a real video editing program such as Adobe Premiere Elements 3 or 4 as it will have the facility to add multiple video tracks. You can go onto Adobe's website and download a 30 day trial of it or any of the other software listed here on the forum if APE isn't what you are looking for. The software that you get with a digital camera is unlikely to do what you want to do.
