I recently won a JVC Everio GZ-MG155U from a video contest I entered... I've been recording and transferring videos from the camera since I won it last week. There's only one problem.

When I transfer the videos to my computer, they lose their 16:9 aspect ratio. Somehow they switch to 720x480, or 3:2.

I've tried importing them into Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 but it reads the files the same way, 3:2. What do I do?!

Can you not set a new project in APE2 to 16:9 rather than the 3:2 aspect ratio? It sounds like the 3:2 setting is the default setting so you need to change this when you create a new project in APE2.

I did try that but for whatever reason it won't change anything... What's gets me more is the fact that it plays back like that in Windows Media Player...
