Default frame drooped during editing

Hi guys,

I'm a newby and not english, so I hope that the following explaination will be clear enough.

I lived in USA for 1year and bought the sony TRV33 (50% cheaper than UK), moved to UK and bought a PC with Ulead Media studio pro 6 to edit my movies. The problem I have got is that during capturing process a Iloss 50% of frames  , I really don't understand.

My PC is OK, I use Firewire, Graphic Card Radeon 9800, AMD 1.4 GHz, 384 ram

Is anyone can help me?

Thanks in advance

steph

Defragment your hard drive, and try again.

If you have a second hard drive then you should capture to that and set the Mediastudio temporary files to the second hard drive.

Good luck

Default dropped frames

I have a Sony DCR-TRV950 - a little fancier than yours and a decent desktop too - but when I use U-Lead I drop frames regularily also. Since changing over to Adobe Premiere I get excellent transfer and have not had any trouble with losing frames.

Sometimes I capture video to different software "My DVD" with great results also. Once I capture though I do everything else in Premiere for sure.

maybe this helps?
