I have found the only way I can get anywhere near decent quality from VCR tapes to DVD is to first send the video to a digital camcorder, then to the computer thru a firewire connection. I record in MPEG format then do a little cutting and splicing. Then I go to Sharing to output to DVD. After the rendering, I get a message that it was not "encoded". I don't know what this means nor how to correct it. Can anyone help? Thanks.
