Default putting video on to dvd

can any body help me i am trying to burn my digital video's on to dvd's

i have a jvc camera i also have nero burn on my computer and i have a external dvd rewriter.

i have savedmy vidoes to my hard drive and then tried burning them with nero.

i have also formated my disks and tried all types of disks
