Default HD Cam-Corder or Macbook?

What would be the obvious choice to go for if you weren't getting good quality videos on to Youtube?

Purchase a HD (high definition) cam-corder

OR

Purchase a Macbook to see if the output settings work better for Youtube

____

At the moment I have a;

Laptop (Windows XP)
and a
DCR-SR72 Sony Handycam

____

Help!

Thanks.

What I consider great quality:
YouTube - Dear Table 23

Best quality I think I've had:
YouTube - A lot of loaf

Worst quality I think I've had:
YouTube - Trampoline: Beer

?

You on about this thread?

Tryed loads of settings to be honest (including changing the bitrate), tryed MP4, WMV etc..

I've followed loads of tutorials over the web after searching deep, and the only solution I thought, would be to buy a HD cam-corder, as it has better resolution (pixels) ?

How do I get "H.264" on Sony Vegas? I can't seem to find it..

(And with the Macbook Pro, I wouldn't have enough money, and probably wouldn't make a difference?)
