Hello. I have a windows xp, and I tried to uninstall and install Arcsoft ShowBiz 1.3 from HP application recovery. After this, when I start showbiz and try to open a file in it, it says "The procedure "mplSetVideoSP_PrescanEdit" can not be found in "mplvw7.dll". OS reports: the specified procedure could not be found." Then I click ok and it says the program has needs to close. I have tried uninstalled and reinstalled but it still gives me the same problem. I need to finish a project on ShowBiz, so I would really appreciate it if someone could help me fix this problem soon!!

It's trying to locate a function within a library (the function being mplSetVideoSP_PrescanEdit in the library mplvw7.dll). I would therefore look to ensure that dll is in the either the system path (typically c:/windows/system32) or in the application's folder (as an app will always check it's own folder prior to searching the path).

Failing that try and restore the library in case the one you have is somehow corrupted. You may also want to try uninstalling, running a reg cleaning utility and reinstalling to see if that helps.
