Question How to Disguise or Hide face on film

Hi Guys,

I am in a bit of a bother! I need help URGENTLY!

I have done some filming for a Project at work and ....
to cut a long story short, I have filmed interviews with people who remain to hide their identity.

So I want to know please how do I disguise or hide the person's face?

And what software is required to edit the video to do the above?

Thanking you in advance for any help or Co-operation.

Regards
Taboo4ever

Idealy you would want to do this when filming so all you gets is a dark/black image, or you can blur out the face in most editing software. So first you need to decide on what program you want. Vegas and premire are the best ones in my opion, just go to their site and download the trials.

I agree that the best time to do this is during the actual filming. Filming the subject against the background of a bright window usually results in the subject's face darkening to the point of non-recognition. Many cameras allow exposure/iris adjustments that will make the process easier.

But assuming you already have the footage, I think there are 2 options. One is to apply a mosaic or blur on the subject's face. This question has been covered many times before in these forums so have a search.

The second option would be to just use the audio portion of the footage. Remove the video and replace it with something creative. Titles perhaps, or other related footage.
