Hey, this is my first post. I was wondering if you guys had any idea on which piece of software i could use to create video footage of an artificial chatroom. I have an idea for my first work with video and i would like to show a chatroom with script i have in mind. any advice would be appricated. thanks.

It sounds to me like you want to captuire a user session on a chat forum much like this one. At least that's how I interpret what you've written, even though I can;t fathom a reason why you might want this.

There has been discussion many times before about recording screen sessions so do a search a find the details you need to record your Windows user session.

If that's not what you meant - and somehow I suspect it isn't then please explain in more details exactly what you do want.

what i planned on doing is creating an artificial chat room in which i can create specific user names and text based on a script of characters i have written which would be synchronized to music.

Now it sounds like you want to generate an animation of people talking based on a text script your have. I'm picturing something like a scene from the Sims2 here.
