Default Help with Strobe lighting

A person I'm quite fond of is photosensitive epileptic, and can't watch such special effects fests such as Spider-man, X-men and no doubt most other comic book/fantasy/sci-fi movies that incorporate that level of flash.

I'm pretty definite there is a way I can edit these movies so they do not contain Strobe lighting.

One way I'm thinking of is some kind of frame blending; if one frame were to bleed into another during the Strobe scenes, a kind of temporal aliasing?

How would I guarantee it works before I try it? What's the best way to go about this?

Strong motion blur may do the job at the expense of bluring everything where it is applied. I will give it a try and let you know if it works.
