Default Video Transfer Issue

Hi,

I want to transfer composite video into my PC.

Everyone says go for Firewire.

My PC has 1394 Firewire built in.

How can I get the composite plugged into the firewire card?

Is there an adcptor for this?

I hear a video card is not an ideal solution.

Thanks you all

Belinda

you need to go from the cameras dv output or from a deck into thew pc via firewire....you also need some type of software, premiere pro2 is cool, there are quite a few more, so whatever suits your budget....im sure camera hire shops will have this type of gear, they might even digitise it for a small fee....hope that helps

Thanks for the info.

I actually want to transfer my old VHS tapes onto DVD via the PC.

That's why I was hoping there was some kind of box to convert composite to the firewire card.

Thanks again
