Does anybody know how to make the sound quality on playback any better than just hearing nothing??
I have used a normal every day camcorder to do some filming of my children, and once I have captured it through WMM the sound becomes all distorted and really quiet.

Any ideas??

I'm no expert and you probably know this already, but if you highlight the clip and do a Control and U togther you can increase/decrease the volume on that track.
Good luck B of a T

Hey thanks for this. But yeh I've already done that.
The sound quality is good when I play back the tape directly through my TV but after I have captured it, its very distorted. I thought that they may have been a button I havent ticked or something.
Anyway I may be buying Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus as this looks really good plus I can DVD Author my own film clips.

Thanks for replying.

Aaron

Hi Aaron

Are you using a miniDV camera? If not, what is it?

Are you transferring via firewire?

In Movie Maker's Video Capture Wizard, are you selecting Digital device format (DV-AVI)?

Is your camcorder recording 12 bit or 16 bit sound?

Sorry for the list of questions - just trying to get a fuller picture.

Bert
