I have a problem when trying to convert video clips from youtube to make them compatible with my MP4 player. The videos are in FLV format when pulled from youtube using VDownloader and then converted to AVI using the same program. I then open VirtualDub to convert them to 24FPS and then save them as an AVI using full processing mode for both audio and video in an uncompressed format. This is then converted to a format my player can use, which is Xvid AVI and MP2 sound(I think).
This final converted video will play fine on my computer but when transferred to the player the audio gets out of sync after a few seconds and continues to drift further as the video plays. I don't know what is causing this but it seems as though when it drops frames for the video it doesn't resync the audio. Could this be because the original video used VBR sound?
