Default Using TMPGEnc???

Hello, I have Adbobe Premiere and this other program TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. Ive edited my video in premiere and am now ready to export. My ultimate goal is to have my edited movie on DVD. When I export from Adobe Premiere should I have the option to use this TMPGEnc Plus program??? Or is this program used to do something to the file after I've already exported outta Premiere???
Thnx

A very good question. I believe there is a way of integrating the two so that the Premiere export streams through TMPGenc.

However, I've never understood the necessity of the prog. Given that, for your purposes (and mine) it's not doing anything you can't do with the MPEG2 encoder that comes with Premiere, why use it?

I asked this exact question of these forums and did not get a single reply.

I know a ton of people use the tool but no-one could (or would) tell me why they use it over what can already be done in Premiere. Unless it has a role outsaide of Premiere of course...

For the noob, there's strictly speaking no reason whatsoever. I've always used it to encode because it's always given me much greater control over the process; and until recently support in Premiere was no where near as good.

I just like the quality of the encoder and its flexibility.
