Making some puppet music videos and have a question. I am using a digital video cam firewired directly to the pc. Was hoping to find program that would allow me to import the music first.....mp3 etc., then record the video portion live simultaneously as the mp3 plays back. Kind of a multi-track situation. The problem I am having is that most of the software I have looked at allow capture via your DV, but not while hearing the playback of the mp3. Just trying to sync the two together. Any suggestions would be great. If this question is stupid....please forgive me.

Why would you want to record it live? By not recording live you will have more control - just play the music loud on a stereo so the camera can pickit up then you can sync up the audio when you capture all the material later.

I agree. the best way would be to listen to the music while recording, and then editing everything later.

however, if you have to do it live for a webcast or something, try out this program webcamDV i havent used it so i don't know what it's like, but it's just a sugestion.
