Default Adding date

Hi,

I need to add the date and time into a video clip and am unsure how to go about this. The date would have to be visible on all frames. Is there any, ideally free, video-editing software available that would enable me to do this?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to this inquiry.

A reasonably standard editting task - to overlay some text or graphic. Most editors will do this. What s/w do you currently have?

Hi,

I managed to add the date using my camcorder itself. It apparently did save the date, only you have to ask it to show it.

The only software asides from that I have is Microsoft Movie Maker. Out of curiosity, would it have been possible to have added it using this?

I should never have asked really. I should have guessed you would say WMM otherwise you wouldn;t be asking advice. I've never used it sorry.
