hi

im using a hi8 cam and capturing in svideo now once ive captured the video there is no sound at all.

im using c-media to capture audio and i have a few choices i usually used line in but that doesnt work, i tried stereo mix and it didnt work everything ive tried doesnt work. i tried to capture in wave and got a large throbing sounds that repeats over and over.

but i remembered i used another wire to capture audio. svideo for video and the wire for line in i think.

how can i get it to work ?

S-Video contains only a video signal. You will need to hook up the audio outputs seperately to your soundcard audio inputs. This is most likely a 3.5mm jack the PC to 2 x Left and Right (white and red) phono cables from the source.
