i cant get the sound to work in videovegas.. i have to use power dvd software included with the cam.. and convert to WMV. file.. but it takes 100 years.. o want to make edits without converting the files.. The file is called.. ".mod" .. any one who can help me??

I haven't used videovegas but try renaming the file by changing the MOD extension to mpg and then load into videovegas. It works with most programs.
Otherwise import media (MOD) file into Power Director. Edit it, then save project.
Open Power Producer,
select disk format , at next screen import video files, chose previously saved project file *.pds,
edit SVCD (or other) structure as required, then at next screen chose burn options.
