Default Convert dv audio from 32khz to 48khz?

Hi,
I'm using final cut pro to edit a project that was recorded with audio in 32KHz. I would like to convert the dv audio to 48KHz but am not sure how to do that - the manual talks about converting imported cd tracks and mp3 files into different audio sample rates, but I can't figure out how to convert the audio from the dv file itself. Can this be done? If not, and I just use the original 32KHz sample rate, that means that I have to convert all other audio I import down to 32KHz - correct? And that I will have to set both the capture preset and sequence preset for my project to 32KHz?
Also, in general, is 32KHz significantly worse than 48KHz in quality? Where/when would I see the differences?
Thanks.

I think i am right in saying that the only technical difference will be the cut off frequency at the top end.

32 records at a maxmum frequency of 16khz (kilohertz) and 48 does up to 24 khz.

Most people cant hear anything above 16khz so the difference may be academic and only matter to audiophiles and bats.
