Default Quicktime formats and Avid ¿?¿¿

Hello

I have exported from flash a 20 secs animation to Quicktime. Flash 8 in Mac offers me two options to export as quicktime .mov. :
The first one (quicktime) exports a small file of 63 k very good quality without any compression but AVID recognize the file as unsopported format.
The second option from flash (quicktime video) exports it to a much larger file (120 mb) and it does work when I import it in AVid

I don´t understand why such difference and my problem is that I don´t want to work with those large files (as I have 40 different to export) an AVid takes too long to import them.

Does somebody knows why is this difference between the 2 formats?

Any recommendation instead .mov?

Thanks a lot for any help

miwhel is an unknown quantity at this point
Default

Avid is a film and broadcast editor and is quite happy to edit these types of format, though I am no expert on Avid, it is possible that the res, framerate and datarate of the small file doesn't meet Avids requirements.
