Default Large .mov to small xvid?

Hi,

How would i go about converting a 3Gb .mov into a 4Mb Xvid or Divx
the video lasts approx 2min.

I guess my first question should be: Is this possible?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldn't figure out where else to post this question

now firstly why would your video be 3GB if it is only 2Mins

in order to convert it you need to open your 3gb video in your video editing program, (i.e.) Magix movie edit pro(which i use)

import the video then export it as an AVI and under the compression options choose XVid and export it.

i usually find that this method is plain and simple and it can reduce the file size by about 10x its original value and still maintains a high quality standard.
