Default Newbie Question-Micro Mv Editing Software

Firstly, let me apologise as i'm sure that somewhere on this site this question must have been asked already...but i cant find it..i did try...honest!!

I have a Sony DCR-IP1E camcorder which uses the Micro MV format. The Moviemaker? software that came with it was a complete nightmare to use and i was told by someone to bin it...which is advice that i must have taken because now i cant find it anywhere!

I tried editing about 2 years ago and just couldnt do it with the Sony software. My wife is a graphic artist and even she couldnt get the software to do anything properly.

Are there any decent editing software package available for Micro MV?

I am only looking to edit family footage etc and as i am a complete doughnut at this, it needs to be simple-ish to use!!
Thanks for your time and help

If memory serves me correctly, Ulead Video Studio 8 supported MicroMV. However, the most recent version is 10, and it may no longer be supported. You can download a trial version from here and see:
