A new miniDV camera and a firewire cable.

if i get the minidv camera and a firewire cable, i wont have to buy a video capturer?

i just simply plug the camera into the computer and it pops up and i put the footage on the computer?

whats the difference between a minidv and a regular dv?

With dv you just play the data into the pc via f wire, no loss in quality.

Most cameras are mini dv. Many pro cameras use the full size dv cassettes, these hold over 3 hours.
