While up in the North, Northern Film & Media are a good place to get help with funding.

There must be more around the UK which are similar

What ill do if I need money for something like that is do a bit of fundraising or what not. Tell them its for a good cause and your giving back. Talk to local theatres they will help out for sure. But be innovative..creative with what you got. The less money you have the more fun you having figuring stuff out and the better your production will turn out because its your own. Originality is what people look for in movies. Theres no right or wrong way. Just your way.

very true. however, it can be quite embarrasing turning up to a shoot after organising actors and such with some crappy equipment. we all know its not the size of your equipment - its what you do with it..... but it always nice to have impressive kit! i have thought about doing some fund raising but never really had enough time to sort anything out.
