Which package?

Hi,

I'm new to this forum.

For 8 years, I've been working with a dps reality card to help me with my work as a digital animator.

It's been a great workhorse, but sadly, it just dosn't have the grunt to meet my needs these days.

I'm looking to replace it with something that I hope will see me through for around 5 years or so, which is all I'd expected to get from the old card.

The options I've short listed at the moment are Avid Liquid Pro 7, Matrox rt X2 & the Edius NX Ultra system.

I need to be able to see the final work uncompressed on a video monitor, and prepare edits before putting footage Lightwave 3D or Combustion. Working well with image sequences is crucial. My system is an AMD X2 64 4200+ with 2gig ram, and an nvidia 6600gt graphics card.

Can anyone reccommend which package would be the best way to go?

I find these decisions so agonising because you have to live it for so long.
